Stacie Resendes Ferreira
Stacie Resendes Ferreira joined the faculty of North Shore Dance Academy as Ballet Mistress in 1990 and is currently NSDA’s Competition Director. Over the past 30 plus years, she has had the privilege to train thousands of dancers and couldn’t be prouder of their accomplishments. Many of her students have gone on to perform in college, in dance companies, in local theater productions, and work professionally as career dancers. Some have even become teachers in their own right. In fact, many of the faculty of NSDA have trained with Stacie, and she is honored to have been a part of their journey!
Stacie trained from the age of 3 in all forms of dance with a large concentration on ballet. She is grateful for the time and love her teachers, Eleanor M. Boyle and Donna Coco shared with her, and is honored to have the opportunity to “pay forward” the passion they instilled within her. With great thanks to them, Stacie is a sought-after master teacher, teaching various styles of dance all over New England.
Stacie is a member of Dance Educators of America, Boston Dance Alliance, and the Dance Teachers Club of Boston, where she served on the board of directors for 6 years. She has written an excerpt for the book ʻAspiring Dreamz: Goal Setting for Dancers’, been quoted in ʻDance Teacherʼ Magazineʼs “Teachers are Talking” segment and was even nominated for “Who’s Who in American Teachers” She is a certified yoga instructor and Reiki practitioner and is the dance and yoga instructor at Malden Catholic High School, where she also serves as the Dance Company director and musical choreographer. She is the former director of Eastern Dance Awards dance competition, which she managed for 15 years, and will acquire a Master of Education spring 2023.
